Online Retreats
I’m delighted to offer a taste of my signature retreat online, so that you can benefit from deep nourishment and healing for mind, body and soul in the comfort of your home.
Our world is a demanding place now more than ever. For some exciting, for some bewildering, for some bone-deep exhausting. For many of us, it has been and continues to be a curious mix of all three.
Regular retreats are important for self-care because they provide a dedicated and expert-led space for:

💆♀️ Finishing with deep relaxation, meditation and coherent breathing, to integrate the practice
Tickets will include a recording of the meditation so that you can keep building rest into your routine.
What can you expect?
A tonic for mind, body and soul with a focus on healing, happiness and resilience. During my half-day virtual retreats, we will spend the morning in community, reflecting on what healing we need at this time.
We will make small adjustments and redirect our focus so that we can continue to weather the competing demands of work, home and family life. The retreats will be kind, gentle, powerful and peaceful, held in skilful facilitation to help you get the most out of your ‘me time’.
The retreats are live streamed via Zoom and could be described as a yoga retreat and meditation retreat combined. Supporting you on your daily yoga journey perhaps or offering a welcome break from day to day life.
Why a focus on healing, happiness and resilience?
The methods used in my retreats are always evidence based, and I only share techniques that I’ve experienced and that work. Healing, happiness and resilience are key focus points in research for a content and wholesome life – and for good reason.

Not only do the online retreats provide a dedicated time out and mental space, but they are intentionally designed to nourish you in your entirety.
According to yoga, in order for healing to take place, we must tend to our physical, energetic, mental, wisdom, and spiritual bodies.
By beginning our retreat with yoga, we’ve already dealt with your physical comfort and started your energy flow.
Then, in the coaching session you will connect with emotions to be felt and expressed with a new knowledge, reflection and connection, so that your mind can connect with experiences you’ve had.
Finally, deep relaxation can take place and importantly allows your mind and body to integrate the entire experience.
All five parts of the human being are still taken care of in this condensed version of my signature retreat – you are gently and carefully taken on the entire journey in a highly effective 3 hours.
About me, Joanne Sumner
I’ve been running retreats for over a decade now, and have run over 40 in-person retreats and 4 online. It’s a core part of my raison d’etre, providing oases of calm and nourishment in busy lives.
I’m a qualified yoga teacher and meditation teacher. I’m also trained in reiki, flower essences and am an accredited Human Potential Coach with The Human Potential Institute.
What you can expect at my in-person retreats ties in neatly with what you will experience at my web based retreats. You can also create a mini-retreat at home in your own time. This way, you can return to yourself again and again.
Online yoga and meditation classes
At Joanne Sumner Wellbeing we also hold online classes. Virtual yoga classes to support your yoga practice and virtual meditation classes, a simple and powerful way to relax, quiet your busy mind, and connect with your deeper self. We welcome both beginners and clients who already have different levels of experience of yoga or meditation practice and techniques to our weekly classes. We also offer pre-recorded classes as well as mindfulness meditation.
